"Washington State apples & pears"

PAGE FIVE

For over twenty-five years, collectors have actively traded labels from Washington state. Many collectors have collections of over 2,000 pieces. Some are common, some are rare. There are several dealers of labels, but prices vary drastically. The best source of pricing information is still my price guide. However, there are dealers who will ask much higher prices from unaware buyers. So be careful -- shop around a bit. But, all and all, I have found nearly everyone to be very friendly and fairly easy to trade with or buy from. One great place you might contact for more information is the Yakima Valley Historical Society (commonly called the Yakima Valley Museum). Their curator Del Bice is a master of the subject. There are hundreds of inexpensive, beautiful labels from Washington State. So, have at it!

This list features a large number of labels from Washington. Some are common, some are not. The prices tell that story. The rule of the day is, however, "one per customer." I have had dealers try to buy my stocks of certain labels, and I just don't do that. One Per Customer, spreads the rare ones around fairly on a first come first served basis, instead of some other dealer buying my best stock. Each of us old-timers who deal in labels, have unique stock and common stock. But we also each have different stock from each other. If you are looking for something that is not on this list, please contact us, and we'll try to help you find it at a fair price. -- Pat (email me)

NOTE: THESE ARE APPLES AND PEARS SO BE SURE TO LOOK CLOSELY AT THE IMAGE TO SEE WHICH ONE IT IS! It will either feature the different fruits, OR saye the name of the fruit in large letters (usually!).

ONE OTHER "FINE POINT": Some of these "notes" will say "stone litho", whereas they might be stone prints or letterpress prints. It's hard to tell which, but they are definately pre-photo-offset prints!

The lists subject to changes in prices, availability, and new images will be posted without warning.
